If you’re based in Leeds and the surrounding area you have no excuse not to get involved in some Apple Day activities this October.
From apple juicing and cider making to longest peel competitions and apple bobbing there really is something for everyone!
We’ve collated everything that the Community Orchards of Leeds have to offer in a handy booklet that you can download here.
The fun kicks off this Saturday at the Farsley Community Orchard Apple Day, 2-5pm, at Farsley St John’s Church Hall with apple juicing and apple crafts.
You can find out more about Farsley Community Orchard’s first Apple Day here.
We’ll be sharing our knowledge of Leeds community orchards at the famous Light Night in our illuminated pop-up orchard!
Come and find us on Friday 7th October, 6-10pm, at the top of Briggate making fresh apple juice on this special night in the city centre.
You can find out more about Light Night here.
We’ll see you at a community orchard near you soon!
